One of these days I'm actually going to clean up my craft room ... again ... f'RILLS!!! I haven't cleaned the flat surfaces off since somewhere around the first part of December! Sigh ... Isn't the rule that as long as you have about a 6"x6" space to work in that you're good to go??? Sigh ... I have even less than that and I can't find all my ink pats, glue dots and dimensionals!!! At least I was able to find all the bits and pieces I needed to make a card for this week's Monday Montage!
And it's been SNOWING!!! I'm glad that we have had a series of rain/snowstorms to keep the air around here pretty clear. Salt Lake City often has the WORST air quality in the entire US of A due to the inversions we get during the winter ... this year has been (thankfully) much better than the last few ... for SURE!
Here I go again ... whine-whine-whine ... it's SO hard to come up with "dude" cards ... and I guess that the washi tape I added to this make it the TINIEST bit "girlie" but I don't care!!! I saw an ad in the sidebar on my Facebook feed ("Big Brother!") for some really COOL funky furniture. There was an AWESOME dresser pictured with some eclectic drawers, and THAT was the inspiration for my card. I LOVED the blues/greens/browns/blacks together!!

I know I keep mentioning all the running I have been doing, but I now am happy to admit that I kinda LOVE running in the cold weather! I think I'm starting to "toughen up" when it comes to temperature (at least as far as running goes). My new "record" cold temperature for a run is between 7 and 10 degrees!!! Brrrrrrr but GREAT!

Love is in the Freakin' Air!
I know, I know ... don't FAINT!!! I am actually posting on my blog more than ONCE this week!!! SHOCK! GASP!!! I am even surprised myself!!! Did you see Mary Brown's projects for the ones she loves??? I have to admit I have used her wonderful creations for inspiration more times than I can count!!!
I also realized that it has been a little while since I have used the burlap ribbon ... which is, by far, my most fave embellishment!!! I actually am surprised by that because I thought it was MUCH too wide when I first laid eyes on it ... but then ... I used it ONCE and have been FOREVER hooked!!! This heart framelit die is ALSO gorgeous!!! I see it getting a LOT of use at my house (especially during the next month!)

True Confession Time ... I went to the opera with a friend last night. I have only ever been to an opera once before (when my oldest son was singing in BYU's production of "Die Fledermaus" during the holidays a couple of years ago). I was MUI-biased during that production because my son was in it ... We went to see "The Merry Widow" last night. It was SO delightful!!! My friend had never been to the opera. This particular opera is more like a "musical" with opera music (there was MUCH more dialog than I was expecting). The costumes were great, the music was entertaining and the sets were fabulous. And now my friend and I feel quite sophisticated and cultured and refined ... as was mentioned on the way home ... we are "full of it!" Bwahahaha!!
Next up??? The super-clever Connie Babbert!!! You will Freakin' Love her projects, too!

Stamp Review Crew - Endless Birthday Wishes Edition
It's been a while since I had the opportunity to play along with my friends on the Stamp Review Crew. SO happy to have the chance to join in this week with the Endless Wishes review!
Ok ... so my next-door neighbor STILL has his Christmas lights up ... this is the SAME neighbor who put up said-same Christmas lights the DAY after Halloween!!! I went outside to take a photo of my card (which, I am ashamed to admit, was a "last-second" thing ... the sun was already going down and the lighting was AWFUL ... which is why this is a photo I took with my photo box) ... and I was having a difficult time trying to take a photo that did NOT have Christmas lights in the background!!! Sigh ... but my neighbor is awesome and Christmas lights are happy, so what's to NOT like, right???

This set is SO fabulous ... I like the TONS of combos you can put together with the sentiments. YAY!!
I am also in FULL GEAR with my marathon training!! I did a 13+ mile run over the weekend! I'm happy that I can actually run THAT far, but I am STILL feeling a bit freaked that 13 miles is only HALF of what I'm going to have to do!!! Keep trudging along ...

Just to give y'all a bit of an update as to where in the heck I've been ... My dear, sweet mama has been in declining health for about six years. Over the past month things have been deteriorating rapidly. She was admitted to the hospital this past week and will be headed to a rehab/hospice facility some time in the next day or two. I am so very grateful to the doctors, nurses and hospital staff that have been so kind, gentle and loving to my mom. She is my hero. She is so brave and so stubborn and so strong ... We are hoping to keep her comfortable and and to allow her to regain a little bit of strength over the next little while.
Eeeeeps!!! An AIRPLANE!!! I knew the SECOND I saw this stamp set (which is being offered through the Sale-a-Bration - aka SAB - promotion for the next couple of months!!! I LOVE THIS!!! And I am ALSO stuck on this color scheme ... So happy to have a little time today where I could stamp and unwind ... sitting around in the hospital just WIPES you OUT!!
