I just couldn't HELP myself!! When I got the urge to make one of these adorable little quilt rag purses I ran over to WalMart and bought me up some fabric ... all this stuff was sooo stinkin' cute that I bought FIVE different fabrics that all looked SOOO cute together. I cut out all the squares from all the fabrics and just sat STARING at them and wondering which ones to use. Ultimately, I ended up splitting them up to make TWO bags ...
So what you see here is the second cutie-patootie little purse. I just decided that if I didn't make it up NOW, that it would find its way into my "unfinished projects drawer" ... you KNOW you all have one (whether it be a drawer, a box, a Rubbermaid-type container or a closet ... admit it!!)
I LOVE the enclosure for this one!! Ya know ... I was pretty skeptical when these little crocheted flowers came out in SU's catalog last year ... didn't really like 'em ... but now I am LOVING them!!!
So ... there ya have it ...
Materials used: Bigz Scallop Square and Flower Folds Dies, Fleurettes, Summer Sun Corduroy Button
Have a super-fab weekend!!
Okay, love the tote! But the Black Magic is to die for! I saw your entry a little ways back and visited Karen Barber's site and I'm totally hooked on this technique! I feel like that is all I want to do! I'm forever more trying new techniques, but this one is just under my skin! Lovely cards!
ReplyDeletelOVE this bag big time!! But a question for ya....you said you split up the fabric and made 2. I studied the 2 shots and the bags look identical. So since turning 50 in March my brains fell out...just wait, it could happen to you. Did you mean you split the fabric, made 2 bags that are the same; or are there 2 different bags and you still have the other one to show us!
ReplyDeletePS: When do you sleep? Are you one of those wonders of nature that only need 4-5 hours of sleep?
That was a serious question, no sarcasm intended. If I don't love, I at least really, really like every stinkin' thing you do11
Wendy, Those totes are just precious! I always love them, wishing I could just WHIP out something so cute on a machine! Great job!
