We Freakin' LOVE You!!
Welcome to another edition of the Control Freaks Blog Tour ... this month we are sharing the love ... projects not necessarily for Valentine's Day, but ones that you can give to someone special that ya love!! Did you see what the ever-spectacular Heidi Boos created to share??? LOVELOVELOVE!!!
I seem to be stuck in a "tone-on-tone" phase ... most of my cards for the past while have been made this way. I just like how clean it looks, I suppose ... and I felt like I was doing the same layout over and over (wait ... I STILL feel like I'm doing that!! Hahahaha!!)! I created the heart by cutting a base out of Whisper White with one of the hearts from the Hearts Collection Framelits ... then I punched a BUNCH of little flowers out of different colors using the Itty Bitty Accent Flower Punch ... and stuck 'em all over the base heart. I also LOVED that the little "I Like You" sentiment from the "I Like You" Hostess set fit PERFECTLY in the smaller arrow on the What's Up Punch. Happy when I figure stuff like this out all by myself!!
Stamps: I Like You
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Rose Red, Real Red, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, What's Up Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (Flower), Hearts Collection Framelits Die, White Jute Ribbon, Linen Thread, Project Life Corner Rounder Punch
This is pretty basic ... but I LOVE how the little whisps from the White Jute Ribbon show up so well on the black background (I've been pulling this jute apart since I got it ... LOVELOVELOVE this stuff ... SOOOOO much!)! I layered three of the larger arrows punch with the What's Up punch over the top of each other to make a base for the sentiment (created the pointy tips on the sentiment panel using a square punch). Kinda fun!
Stamps: Something to Say
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Red Glimmer DSP
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: What's Up Punch, Banner Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (Heart), 1 1/4" Square Punch, Large Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, White Jute Ribbon
Coming next??? The VERY talented and crafty, LeeAnn Greff! Check it out!!
Love your heart of flowers!!
ReplyDeleteI was just struck by how pretty both your cards were. I just sat their and stared at both of them. I can't wait to make a floral heart, and I love the cute banner on the second card. Thanks for your talent and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYour floral heart is amazing...a bit of time punching but so worth it. Thanks for two cards that use a the what's up punch. Always looking for other ways to use those arrows. Your posts always make it to the save for later file!!
