Fab Friday #37

Hello and WELCOME to another FAB FRIDAY!! OhmyGOSH!! I had soVERYmuch FUN making my card for this week's challenge I can hardly STAND it!! Between MDS and my Silhouette my crafty universe has expanded a LOT in the last little while!! (ManyMANY more things to choose from!!)

I made this for my cousin's little sweet baby boy ... he is celebrating his first birthday this week ... and he's SOOOOO adorable!! I LOVED using the MDS Bday Under Construction download. These little trucks and signs are totally darling!! I printed out the trucks and sayings via MDS ... and I resized and shaped the Word Bubble "punches" in MDS and cut them out with my Silhouette. (The background DSP is also printed out from the same download!!

Here's this week's sketch (keep in mind that you don't HAVE to use Word Bubbles ... you can use ANY shapes in their place ... remember that these sketches are supposed to help INSPIRE you!)

Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge
Paper: Paper Pumpkin, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Essentials Hardware Clips, Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon, Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon
MDS Supplies: Bday Under Construction, Word Bubbles

  5. This card is the cutest card for a little boy, especially one who loves big construction equipment and trucks just like one of my grandsons. I have a Silhouette and can use my MDS with it, but how did you create the trucks with the different colors - yellow bodies, black tires. Did you have your Silhouette draw them, then cut them out. They don't look pieced together in the photo but maybe they are. Thanks in advance for any help. I check in with your blog every day - you have the best ideas! I admit I've copied more than a few!
    Thank you,
    Nancy

  6. Ok, I think I answered my own question. Print and cut, right? I should have thought of that before I asked my question. I'll blame it on the full moon that will be in all it's glory tomorrow night. Thanks again.

  7. Hello Wendy,
Nancy again. How did you get your trucks to cut out on the Silhouette? I simply cannot do it because they are embellishments and are not in svg format. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks again
