Welcome to another Fab Friday Challenge! I always really enjoy it when someone ELSE gives me an idea of where to start on a project ... and this week's color challenge is a GOOD one!!

I am FINALLY starting to wrap my head around the changing of the seasons ... about 10 days ago it was over 90 degrees here in Salt Lake City ... then we dropped as low as the 30's, with highs in the 40's and 50's during the day. My mind/body are VERY confused. But this color challenge is helping me get in the mood for Fall!

Up for one of my very last challenges for this year's running season. Tomorrow morning I'm doing the Red Bull 400. What is the Red Bull 400, you ask?? Well, it's where a bunch of semi-crazy people pay MONEY to have the opportunity to run UP from the bottom of an Olympic Nordic Ski Jump ... and make it to the top within 15 minutes!! Hoping I survive!! As long as I don't fall off, I'll call that a WIN for ME! And I guess I'd like to FINISH in the time allotted so that they don't have to pull me off for being too slow!!

Monday Montage #101

It's raining, it's POURING ... and summer just SLAMMED straight into fall here in Utah!! Holy COW!!! It was 90 degrees last week and today it is in the 40's ... and it's been raining for two days straight. I LOVE rain! But I think my body/mind are in shock! Welcome to another episode of Monday Montage. I got some NEW goodies to play with, so I really enjoyed creating!

I totally love sunflowers!! I think sunflowers and daisies are my favorite flowers ... and like Meg Ryan says in "You've Got Mail" ... "don't you think daisies are the happiest flower?" I DO!!! And sunflowers are right up there in HappyLand with them!

I guess now I don't have any excuse to complain about how HOT it is for outside running ... I actually LOVE running in cooler temps ... but I do NOT love running in the RAIN!!! What's a girl to do???? I DO love the fall, though ... hopefully we won't get any snow in our yard this week ... there has been a TON in the mountains just east of us, so I'm crossing my fingers it STAYS there!

Fab Friday #121

Another Fab Friday is upon us!!! WOOT!! WOOT!!! Not gonna lie ... I am SO READY for the weekend!!! And guess what else??? The temperatures outside have dropped into the 70's!! It feels MAGICAL!!! I swear this has been one of THE HOTTEST summers I can remember. And rain ... yes, rain!!! THAT is happening today as well!!! SOOOO excited!

So ... in honor of it being FRIDAY ... and in honor of it being AWESOME outside ... THIS CARD!!! I think I have maybe only used this stamp set ONCE (or maybe not even at ALL!)!! How SHAMEFUL!!! But it is PERFECT for today's sketch!! It's the first thing that popped into my mind when I laid eyes on our inspiration ...

Monday Montage #100!!!

ONE HUNDRED!!! I can't BELIEVE this is Monday Montage #100!!!! How COOL is THAT???? These girls are A-MAZ-ING!!! I am still SO thrilled that they let me play with them ... I mean, I am STILL blown away with all the talent in this group!!

This card is a re-do of a RE-DO!!! Ya know when you have such a GREAT VISION of what you want to make IN YOUR HEAD ... and when you make it ya just look at it at go, "Meh ..."??? Well ... that's this card for me. I made it once ... took it apart ... made it again ... and this is my THIRD attempt!!! Not sure WHY I have struggled with this one, but this is the REVISED-REVISION ... and it's STAYING!!

Bree Renwick and I did TWO races last weekend at Disneyland (10K and Half Marathon) ... not gonna lie ... they were BRUTAL because of the HEAT!!! It was 101 degrees with 44% humidity when we FINISHED that Half in the MORNING (started at about 5:45AM)!!! TOOO-TOOO hot!!! I did another half marathon just yesterday and it felt SOOOO much easier with the temps staring in the 60's ... pretty sure we are NOT gonna do a Disney Run again unless it is in JANUARY!!

Fab Friday #120

Greetings from the Happiest Place On Earth (aka Disneyland!) ... and welcome to Fab Friday!!! We still have two days to go ... and a race to run on each day ... and we are ALREADY tired!! I'm here with my besties and fellow stampin' girl, Bree Renwick. We ran the Disneyland Half Marathon three years ago and decided to come back for MORE (so, we are doing both the Half AND the 10K - on separate days, of course!). Adventure awaits!!

The color combo for this week's Fab Friday Challenge made me think of all things groovy ... and the 70's ... which I remember ... which some of you do not ... because you weren't even BORN yet ... which is depressing ... but I digress ... I couldn't get the "Mystery Van" from "Scooby Doo" out of my head when I saw these colors. And I couldn't let the concept of flowers and grooviness pass me by! I got some happy goin' on RIGHT here!
