Tiptoe Through the Tulipes!!

I was soooo happy when my Stampin' Up ordered arrived on Monday. I hadn't put an order in for quite some time, so was happy to get some new things to play with. This "Tulipe" die is totally fun! I have to admit that I didn't really like it when I first saw it. Or when I saw it again . . . it just didn't do anything for me . . . UNTIL I actually saw something made with it. YOU know how that is, right???? Then, of course, you are enabled by someone to purchase it because of what you have seen them create. It happens to me ALL the time (and I'm sure it has NEVER happened to you, right??).

I did this for the color challenge on Tuesday (CC208) . . . EXCEPT that the Challenge Police came charging after me, with sirens blaring (aka my good friend Karen - imastampin on SCS)!!! She called me and said, "I liked your card today, except you CHEATED!" "What??!!??? I did NOT!! What are you talking about???" She replied, "You used Pink Pirouette, NOT Pink Passion!" Again, I said, "What??!!???" I guess I just read the list of colors, came to the word "pink" and just filled in the rest!! It was SUPPOSED to be chocolate chip, kiwi kiss and pink passion . . . guess I could've gone back and redid it then rephotogrpahed it, but I just decided to leave it how it is. Sadly, I ended up in Challenge Prison with NO bail money!! Luckily, one of the girls on SCS offered me her "Get Out of Jail Free" card!! (Thanks, PebbleKraft!!)

Fun new tip . . . I used my scallop circle punch to take a little "bite" out of each of the corners on the chocolate chip layer. I'm sure someone else, SOMEwhere has done this, but I just kind of thought it up myself for this card. I definitely will be doing it again!

Love it Love it Love it! I love being enabled, but I think I love that tulip anyway :)
I love the scalloped corners...talk about thinking outside the box. Ever since I got addicted to card making I have been amazed at what you ladies create...I only hope that I can be as creative down the road. TFS!

Love your card; and you are so right! I kept looking at the tulipe die cut thinking "I don't know if I really like that!" Well--- It is one that I will purchase.

Thanks for sharing your cards with us!

love it--just saw a cute Christmas holder made with the scalloped triangle die as rudolph's head...parts of the tulip as his antlers...oval and round punches for white eyes, black centers, red nose and giant eyelets with the brown felt ribbon as the handles...cute...you're my main "go to gal" (spent 4! hrs today) and she's #2: designwithink.blogspot.com
