Monday Montage #29
Sometimes I just BLINK and it's Monday again!! And Monday Montage, no less!! (We only do Monday Montage every two weeks ... and it comes in a SNAP!)!!! It's always the BEST to see what everyone has to share with their WIZARDLY creative minds!! Let's get rolling!
Yeah ... I did it again ... I kinda didn't know when to say "Stop!" I just kept adding and adding and adding (and yeah ... I did it again ... Burlap Ribbon and Gold Sequin Trim ... can't get ENOUGH of those!) I think I kinda went overboard on this one ... it's for my cousin's 8-year-old birthday. The CTR stands for "Choose the Right" ... she got baptized and the "CTR" is kind of a "thing" to help remind them of who they are and the commitments they make when they are baptized ... a little corny, but I know she will like it!!

And one more little thing to share ... I had my Frightful Wreath Class last night (SOOOO much fun to get together with my stampin' friends and play ... and visit ... and laugh!!). In addition to making the funtastical wreaths, we made these little treat bags ... they just took a couple of minutes ... aren't they cute?? (And can ya SEE that little bit of white yarn shooting across the left side of the photo??? It's from my Halloween spiderweb on my porch ... yeah ... I'm THAT girl ... house is already decked out for the little spooks!)

Owen asked if those treats for him..."those look soooo good!" Says Mr. Sweet Tooth! Cute treat bag and I love your final draft of the card :)
Love it! I think your cousin will too! Fun CTR embellishment and all of the other elements are super cute too! Go burlap and gold!!!
Great card and gift packaging, Wendy. I love the layers and textures. The burlap is very effective. Not used that myself.
Have a great week,
Shoshi
Loaded up cards are great--they show exuberant abundance! Perfect for an 8-year-old's birthday :).
I am definitely going to make that treat bag. That is really fun! Now I just need to decide if I'll fill it with candy, cookies, or dog treats :oP. We're going to be making cards for World Cardmaking Day this Saturday. It would make a fun favor or bonus project!
Your card is wonderful though it is a bit wildly over the top...but love the layers and colors and it is perfect for the 8 year old girl!
Loved your cousin's card & so will/did she! CTR is far from corny in my opinion. If a whole lotta people were doing a whole lotta that, I don't believe the world would be in such chaos. Many extremists teach them to use weapons, hate & have a thirst to destroy those who are unlike them. Can never start too young. I'm 54 & still wear a CTR ring almost daily. Oh, great!!! There I take a great card & use it as a moral/political statement! Sorry sunshine! # world conditions scare me stupid
I have made a CTR shield before and I always have to write out those letters just to make it perfect, as YOUR's is!! How did you do the C T R? It looks like an e-cutter or dies. If you did those by hand, they're perfect!
I'd love to hear a response if you get a chance;)
Thank you,
Tracy
