Monday Montage - Festive Friends

Welcome back for another round of creativity with the Monday Montage Crew!

Where DOES the time go??!??

I have caved … it is TIME to start making Christmas cards!! I resisted for as loooong as I could!!

These little trees were made from the Festive Friends Stamp Set. I was making another card with the snowman from that set and the little tree was just looking up at me all sad and unused. To the rescue!!

I stamped the trees in both Lost Lagoon and Shaded Spruce. The tree in the center is stamped on some Pool Party card stock to make it pop a little more.

And of course I had to give a “snowing” effect by flicking some Stampin’ Blends to splatter them around.

The frame was made cutting two of the Textured Notes Dies … one inside the other.

The sentiment panel … I watercolored a little splash of Lost Lagoon onto a scrap of White cardstock and then stamped the image in Shaded Spruce and cut it with another one of the Textured Notes Dies.

I am having a hard time deciding on what to do for my Christmas cards this year. I have made two of them up and I like them both … I just need to make a decision and go with it!

TGIF Challenge #551 - Sketch Challenge

Once in a while I get an idea for a card in my head that just pops in there (inspired, of course, by this fun sketch!)!

It didn’t take very long and this card was complete … welcome to this week’s TGIF Challenge!!

You guuuuuyyyss … the new Pop-Up Petals Bundle is sooooooo lovely!! The flowers I used for the focal point on this card are from the stamp set … I only had to “color” the leaves, as the rest of the image is all stamped!!

The new Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder goes so perfectly with this sketch due to the diamond … don’t they look great together???

I splattered the panel behind the image with the Light and Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. 

I also used the new Lasting Linen Background Stamp to add even more texture to this card. The Brushed Brass Butterflies were the PERFECT accent to this fun little sunflower bouquet.

Training season for the Huntsman Heroes started last Saturday … I will be running at least 3 half marathons in the spring to raise money for cancer research … my 11th year … YAY!

TGIF Challenge #550 - Color Challenge

What a beautiful color combo!! For this week’s TGIF Challenge we are going with the colors Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral and Old Olive. LOVE them!

This card was another “quick and easy” one for me! I just picked a handful of different designer series papers that fit this week’s color combo and cut it into 1” strips. I then tore the ends of each strip and laid them next to one another.

Again with the splattering! It seems to be my new staple!!

Lucky for me I had some leftover branches cut using the Perfectly Pears Dies sitting on my desk - Very Vanilla - perfect!!!

Guess what??!? This weekend (Saturday, to be exact!) is the first training run of the season for my Huntsman Heroes Team!! I think we are only doing a couple of miles, but it will be GREAT to see the team again and get started for the year!

Monday Montage - More Gathering Moments

Monday Montage … my favorite Mondays of every month!

I had such a crazy, busy weekend that I wasn’t sure where to squeeze in some crafty time … got up VERY early this morning to get it done!

Talk about your “quick and easy” card! This one is just that!!

I used this great plaid DSP from the Gathering Together pack of DSP and that is almost the trickiest thing I did for this!!

I cut one of the dies from some Early Espresso cardstock and just added a little bit of highlighting with my white gel pen.

A little bit of White Baker’s Twine for the bow and a few Low Profile Sparkle Dots and this was DONE! 

This doesn’t happen very often for me (doing a relatively quick and easy card), so I’m taking it as a win!

TGIF Challenge #549 - Everything But the Kitchen Sink!

Everything but the kitchen sink??? Yeah … I’ve got that!! Welcome to this week’s TGIF Challenge!

I received the most adorable “On Display” Bundle in my happy mail last week … and what could be more perfect for this challenge than a set that lets you just keep adding and adding and adding???

I used some of the Woven Textures DSP as my “anchor” for this card … wanted to step a little outside the norm. Isn’t it cute?? I mean, the kitty was PERFECT considering we just adopted a new kittty!

I also incorporated the new “Beautiful Pattern” embossing folder to use as a backdrop to my little wicker bookcase … love it!

And … I cheated! I added the now-retired Smoky Slate Pearls because they are just too-too perfect for me not to!!

A couple little tabs of 3/8” White Fluffy Trim and this card was done!

Stampin’ Fancy Friday - Regals Challenge

This month the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team is all about Regals … you know those rich and lovely colors??? Yep! That’s where we live this month!

Crisp and crunchy fall leaves … and the colors and smells of fall … are my favorite!!

I stamped and diecut leaves in four colors using the Gathering Moments Bundle. I used four of Stampin’ Up’s Regals - Pretty Peacock, Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.

After stamping and diecutting the leaves I crunched them all up … literally! I wanted to make them look like they had been plucked right out of a pile of leaves from my back yard!

I complimented the crunchy leaves with 

some 3/8” Irregular Weave Trim and LOTS of splattering … I used all four colors!

I also added a few Low Profile Sparkle Dots and roughed up the edges of the splattered piece of cardstock to finish it off.

I went on a beautiful 6-mile hike with a friend this morning … we watched the sun come up over the mountains and it was simply gorgeous!!

Friendly Foliage

Staaaaaawwwp it! What’s NOT to love about this sneak peek of the Friendly Foliage Bundle and Lasting Linen Background Stamp??? I am OBSESSED!!!

I was able to preorder these lovely items - and they will be available for you to purchase November 1!!

Nothing fancy here … it’s all the work of the stamps and dies!! I did throw in a little accent piece using the Timeless Plaid DSP because it is just too-too good!

The Friendly Foliage Dies are just beautiful … and the Lasting Linen Background Stamp is perfection! I KNOW I will be using it a LOT!!

Here’s the picture of our new little kitty, Willow, that I promised! Isn’t she just ADORABLE??? And so is soooo bitsy tiny and VERY sweet! I love her already … even when she wakes up at 3:30am and wants to play with my hands and fingers!!!

Monday Montage - Long Time No See!

Soooo excited to share with y’all again today for our Monday Montage Hop! I have been DYING to make a card with the dog image from “Long Time No See” for a while, and I finally got it done!

Seriously??? Isn’t he the CUTEST??!??

I have been wanting to make this and use some DSP for the doggie’s sweater … Gathering Together for the WIN!

Both the doggie’s sweater AND the background came from the same pack of DSP … and I LOVE it!

I used a sentiment and the little critter paws images from Pet Love to compliment all the feels from this little dachshund!

I also used the Perennial Postage Dies (AGAIN!) to make the sentiment panel and a little spot to write on the inside.

The paw prints were stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Basic White Embossing Powder.

How about that leash?? I braided 3 pieces of Linen Thread and made sure the leash lined up when the card was closed as well.

I was recently messaged that the photos on my blog said “content not available in your area” in places outside the US … UGGGGHHH! I have been struggling with photos/quality for months now and had been using Imgur to host my blog photos … but apparently Imgur has decided NOT to play well with Blogger outside of the country! DRAT!! I think I have the problem fixed now … crossing my fingers!

TGIF Challenge #547 - Inspiration

I had some SERIOUS technical issues this week (thanks, Blogger!). I *think* I may have figured out what the problem was and now have a solution … crossing my fingers!

Who doesn’t love a warm and cozy fall sweater??? 

I stamped the sweater image from “Stay Warm” right only a piece of “Weekend Adventures” DSP (LOVE the little teeny-tiny acorns!). 

I used a couple of images from Gathering Moments to compliment the fall vibes from the sweater.

I used the Mixed Labels Dies to make a multi-layer sentiment set up. 

Of course, I did a little splattering on the backdrop with a Light Cajun Crazy Stampin’ Blend … so fun!

Spooky Halloween!

Trick or Treat, y’all!! I’ve had this darling Spooky Halloween set for a couple of months now and this is only the SECOND time I’ve used it!

I figured since Halloween was FAST approaching that I needed to get it together and make more with it!

This doggie is my most FAVORITE stamp in the entire set!!! (I am, after all, a very big-time dog lover!)

Thanks to the Spooky Sweet DSP this card was a snap! I used a trimmed piece and put it on the card base. Luckily, I had a couple of Basic Black squares leftover cut using the Perennial Postage Dies. All I did was cut a couple more - one in Highland Heather and one in Granny Apple Green.

I cut the little fence diecut from Basic Black as well … and just used a sponge dauber and some White Craft Ink to give it some dimension.

Mr. Spooky Pup (I just made that name up!) I colored with my Stampin’ Blends, and the sentiment was just stamped with Memento Ink and torn around the edges.

I also used a white gel pen to add some little dots to the lollipop Mr. Spooky Pup is holding … cute, right?

A few little foam stars and it was done!
