Monday Montage - Scalloped Blooms

Happy Monday! The Monday Montage Crew is at it again! Soooo much good inspiration from each and every one!

The layout of these dies is reminiscent of a garden layout - nice rectangles made by arranging several pieces of cardstock cut using one of the Scalloped Blooms Dies.

I used the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder to add dimension to the Mellow Moss rectangles and flowers. Then I used a couple of Stampin’ Blends to flick some ink on the Golden Glow pieces as well as the sentiment panel. Isn’t this cute??

Stamps: Scalloped Blooms
Paper: Old Olive, Mellow Moss, Golden Glow, Very Vanilla, Silly Old Bear DSP
Ink: Old Olive; Stampin’ Blends - Daffodil Delight, Mellow Moss
Accessories:  Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder, Scalloped Blooms Dies, Linen Thread, Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems

Global Design Project #558 - Sketch Challenge

What is better than a sketch challenge to stretch one’s creativity? This particular sketch challenge had me thinking in lots of layers!

Check out the challenge here - Global Design Project if you’d like to play along.

Using both stamps and dies from Learn & Grow and Extraordinary Life, I stamped and cut several images to create the layers necessary to stand in for each of the “panels” in the sketch.

Aren’t the little butterfly embellishments the cutest??? I also put a little scrap of Hydrangea Hue behind the slots on the sentiment panel to fill in the empty space.

Stamps: Learn & Grow, Extraordinary Life
Paper: Basic White, Barely Blush, Hydrangea Hue, Gingham Gallery DSP
Ink: Barely Blush, Hydrangea Hue, Black Memento
Accessories: Extraordinary Life Dies, 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies

We’d love to have you play along!! You can check us out here on Instagram … you’re gonna LOVE what you see!!

TGIF Challenge #587 - Tone On Tone

This week’s TGIF Challenge is soooo much fun - a tone-on-tone inspiration!

Check out the blog challenge here - TGIF Challenge Blog if you’d like to play along.

I’m not sure why I don’t make monochromatic cards more often … they’re so much fun to make!

Using a combination of  Scalloped Wishes Dies, Lazy Daisy and Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folders and both sides of a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe Gingham Gallery DSP, I created this card to highlight Crisp Cantaloupe … so happy to have it back, even for a while!

After inking up the inside of the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folders with some Crisp Cantaloupe ink, I put a piece of Basic White cardstock inside and ran it through my Cut & Embossing Machine. Don’t you just LOVE how this turned out???

I then cut a Scalloped Wishes Oval and used the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing folder on it to add some texture. Putting the little diecut flowers around the edge of it gives it a fun, summer garden feel.

And Gingham Gallery is fast becoming my new favorite DSP!

Stamps: Scalloped Wishes
Paper: Basic White, Crisp Cantaloupe, Gingham Gallery DSP
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe
Accessories: Scalloped Wishes Dies, Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folders, Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder, Antique Pearls

We are celebrating Pioneer Day today in the good ol’ state of Utah. Parades, BBQs and time with family are on the agenda all weekend! Love me a good holiday!

Monday Montage - Scalloped Wishes

Yay for Monday Montage! And YAY for leftover bits and bobs from cards gone by … this week I made a card using some things I had leftover from another card I made a while back. Don’t you just love leftovers??? I do (especially the kinds you eat!!)!

I have had the little dragonfly and the small Lemon Lolly flowers leftover from a card I made a couple of months back. I HATE to throw away good little bits, so I was VERY happy to use them again.

I used a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to splatter the flowers. To make the card more cohesive, after I using my Simple Scored Tool to created the background I used a Blending Brush with Lemon Lolly ink and splattered the result with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend as well.

I also dropped a few water droplets on the background, too! Very boho, don’t you think??

The frames dies from the Scalloped Wishes bundle are SOOOO good! It’s hard to mess up your card if you use them.

And then, of course, I added the 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies and some Linen Thread to finish it off. Not my usual color scheme, but I think I like it!

Stamps: Scalloped Wishes

Running season is in full swing! I ran the Zion Trail Ragnar race this past weekend (it’s a BEAST, but I’ve done it at least 5 times now, so I must love it!). Next week? The Ogden Half Marathon!

TGIF Challenge #574 - Inspiration Challenge

Welcome to this week’s TGIF Challenge! This week we are using the photo on the right as inspiration … I love it!

Check out the blog challenge here - TGIF Challenge Blog if you’d like to play along.

A few weeks ago, I tripped over my own dang feet and broke my right wrist (and I am NOT left handed!!)!! Which means that EVERYthing is sooooo much harder and takes sooooo much longer than usual. Two and a half more weeks and I will be out of the splint (I begged them NOT to put a cast on me!). So putting this together took much too long, but it was fun to make. I was watching/listening to “The Devil Wears Prada”, and it took me until after the film was done before I finished!!

Lots of die cuts from the On Display Dies and a few images from the coordinating stamp set helped me complete this. I used my blending brushes and some sponges to ink the edges of the individual bits and parts to give them more dimension.

The little Barely Blush border and the sentiment tag are both from the soon-to-be-released Bordered in Beauty Dies … these are going to be used a LOT by me!!

Stamps: On Display
Paper: Basic White, Soft Sea Foam, Pecan Pie, Barely Blush, Hydrangea Hue
Ink: Soft Sea Foam, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Barely Blush, Hydrangea Hue, White Craft; Old Olive Stampin’ Blend
Accessories: On Display Dies, Bordered in Beauty Dies, 3D Birch Wood Embossing Folder, 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies, Linen Thread

I will be running tomorrow in the Salt Lake Half Marathon with my splint and a sling … should be an adventure!

We’d love to have you play along!! You can check us out our blog HERE and Instagram … lots of great inspiration from the rest of the TGIF Crew!
