By the time I FINALLY started creating the blog post I fell asleep!! The sound of my computer landing on the floor woke me back up and got me back on track to finish the post!! I guess I was more tired than I thought!

Dynamic Duos & Control Freaks!

Here we are again! Can you believe we are almost to JUNE??!!?? What in the world is happening??? Well, the Control Freaks are playing with dies ... LOTS of dies!!! We are playing "Dynamic Duos" ... which means we are creating cards with two die sets on them!! Did ya just come from the blog of Melissa Davies?  She is certainly a "dynamo", isn't she???

This is a card that I thought up in my head ... and it actually came out pretty much how I had it pictured! AND ... it makes me HAPPY!! Because what about chocolate is NOT happy??!!?? (Nothing ...) For the Dynamic Duo in this card I used the Ornate Frames Dies and the Love You More Than Dies. The Ornate Frames are SOOO pretty with the little chocolates, don't you think??

Stamps: Nothing's Better Than
Paper: Early Espresso, Blushing Bride, Positively Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Versamark, Positively Pink
Accessories: Ornate Frames Dies, Love You More Than Dies, Whisper White Embossing Powder, Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Pastel Pearls

My duo for this card consisted of the Stitched Rectangles Dies and the Curvy Dies. I think that the Braided Linen Trim kinda looks like a tree truck, don't you??

Stamps: A Cut Above
Paper: Granny Apple Green, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Ink: Memento Black, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Ivory
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Curvy Dies, 3/16" Braided Linen Trim, Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, Stapler

Next up??? Debbie Henderson! Awesome and amazing!!

Monday Montage #189

What a GREAT WEEKEND!!! For the very first time in over a year I had ALL of my kids over for dinner at the very same time!! Like, we were ALL in the same room ... and hugs happened!! Eating happened!! MUCH laughing happened!! It was soooo lovely and wonderful it nearly made me cry!! Grateful doesn't even begin to describe how I feel!! My cup is full ... my heart is full ... I just feel so happy to do something normal with my most important humans ... YAY YAY YAY!!! Having my happy space in the basement of my house where I can go and let my creative juices flow is also such a great blessing ... so I got to do a little playing for this week's Monday Montage Blog Hop. A pretty great weekend if I do say so myself!!
I stamped me some images from the Party Puffins Stamp Set while I was up visiting our fellow Monday Montager, Bree Renwick, a couple of weeks ago in Walla Walla. This was a fun card to make ... I also used the Basic Masks to create the black background with the White Chalk Marker. This little dude just looks like a party to me!1

Stamps: Party Puffins
Paper: Polished Pink, Basic Black, Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink: Black Memento, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, White Stampin' Chalk Marker, Wink of Stella
Accessories: Stitched Rectangles Dies, Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder, Detailed Trio Punch, Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, Bumblebee In Color Ribbon, Clear Epoxy Droplets

The Achilles Tendon Saga continues ... still not out of the woods yet.  I do think improvement is still happening, but I can't seem to get it to go away ... so patience for the patient is still the order of the day Some day ... maybe ... hopefully SOON ... it'll start behaving!

Fab Friday #213

There is sun-shine in my soul today!! Ohhhh man, you guys!! It's so sunny and warm and beautiful outside ... and I hope it lasts!! I got to go with a handful of my vaccinated friends down to Sedona and Prescott, Arizona. A little hiking, a little sightseeing, some flying (over Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon and Meteor Crater) and a LOT of yummy food! Boy oh boy did it feel great seeing some people ... and doing some sorts of normal things! LOVED it!! Time to play with my Fab Friday Friends, and I finally got to play with this adorable little "Hot Dog" set!!

I am SUCH a dog person. I ALWAYS have been. So I am a sucker for cute doggie images and stamp sets (not to mention dies, punches, ribbon and embossing folders). These little weiner dogs make my heart happy!

Stamps: Hot Dog
Paper: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Basic Black, Well Suited DSP, Watercolor
Ink: Black Memento, Real Red, Crumb Cake (Stampin' Blends, Smoky Slate (Stampin' Blends), Cherry Cobbler (Stampin' Blends), Versamark, Wink of Stella
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Dies, Shimmery Crystal Effects, 3/16" Braided Linen Trim, Whisper White Embossing Powder

This one is very simple and versatile ... lots of possibilities here!

Crossing my fingers that this beautiful weather hangs on for a week or two before it either (a) starts snowing again or (b) shoots up over 100 degrees and fries my brain!
