Monday Montage - Tiled Techniques

How can it be Monday again already??!!?? At least I stamped ahead and had a card all ready to go! Welcome back for another round of Monday Montage!

Since the 2025-2026 Stampin’ Up Catalog will be going LIVE tomorrow (05/06/25), I am sharing a few of my favorite retiring items … specifically, the Tiled Technqiues stamp set and some very pretty Moody Mauve cardstock.

I cut the front panel of this card in half, so it is only 2.75” from the top fold to the bottom edge of the front panel. That way I was able to take advance of the “medallion” I made from the Spotlight On Nature Dies and the images I stamped using Tiled Techniques.

Here’s what it looks like inside when you lift the front flap with the medallion up. Just the right amount of space for a little greeting!

I’m sooo happy that the Eyelet 3D Embossing folder is sticking around for another year. It has fast become a favorite of mine!

I shall really miss the Moody Mauve cardstock … it’s such a beautiful and rich color.

My friend, Cheryl Curtis, and I have been visiting our other bestie - Bree Renwick - up in Walla Walla since last Thursday. It has been the BEST time! (Both of these ladies are also part of the Monday Montage Crew!) We ate, laughed, shopped, stamped and enjoyed our time together soooo much! Can’t wait to get together and do it again (hopefully sooner rather than later!)

TGIF Challenge #494 - Sketch Challenge

It’s time again for the TGIF Challenge!! LOVING this sketch! It made for a quick and easy card.

I have been neglecting Boho Blue … it’s one of the 2023-2025 In Colors and has sat languishing for the past several months. I knew it was going to be PERFECT to pair with the cute little paper airplanes and clouds from the Flying By stamp set.

The So Swirly embossing folder is sooooo great for conveying some “wind” in the background! The sentiment with it’s curvy shape and dot leaders just blends right in!

I stamped some clouds on the little Perennial Postage diecuts for the paper airplanes to fly over. The background has more clouds made using Versamark and some white embossing powder.

Super cute, right??

Monday Montage #244

 

Aaaaaack! Wedding prep (my oldest is getting married on October 3)! High school reunion (yeah, I'm in charge and it is next Saturday, September 16)!! Working extra hours (my sister in law and I job share at our family business and she is out of town!)! And COVID! (Yep! Got that as a souvenir brought home from a short trip to Disneyland for my birthday!)! I don't even know what day it is half of the time ... but I digress!! I am LATE posting this, but welcome to Monday Montage!!

Here are a few of my NEW favorite things (I totally sang that line to myself! Feel free to do that as well!)! Pebbled Path cardstock? Yes!! Brilliant Background Dies?? Yes!! Something Fancy AND Designer Tags Dies?? Yes! YES!! Gorgeously Made Dies?? Yes (I have used these many times already and find them to be irresistible)! Not to mention the Natural Wavy Trim which has also been used before by me ... and is DIVINE!!

Up close you can see how the texture from the Something Fancy Die  is the PERFECT companion to the Brilliant Background die I used on the Gray Granite layer in the background! I also roughed up the edges of that layer to give the whole overall card a more distressed/vintage look.

Planting a Freaky Garden!

The Control Freaks are planting a virtual garden this month, and you are invited to join us!  Debbie Henderson's was absolutely beautiful, don't you think?? This challenge was EASY PEASY (because, be honest, who doesn't own about a GAZILLION floral/nature stamps???!!??)

Although I am still mourning the loss of so many good core colors (Mango Melody and Sahara Sand!), I have to admit that I am utterly BEWITCHED by one of the new 2023-2025 In Colors - Pebbled Path! It's the PERFECT combo of almost-gray-almost-brown-but-not-quite-either! It's soooo much prettier in person ... and goes with so dang much! 

And I had to have this set mostly because of the spiral/stitched die that is in it ... be still my heart!

 

I "stole" this color combo from the ever-impressive Stampin' Up Artisan, Tammy Wilson. That girl is a stampin' WIZARD! I don't think she has EVER made an ugly card! I added a little Bubble Bath to mine, but I am loving this combo! I can't remember the last time I used FIVE different colors on one card!

TGIF Challenge #420 - Sketch Challenge

I seem to be operating in a vacuum or something Things go into my brain and then they just bounce around and around and around, often getting lost in in the process!!! I made a card for this week's TGIF Challenge ... then realized when I went to post it that it was LAST week's challenge!! SHEESH!! SQUUUUUEEEEE!!! The new Earthen Textures Bundle/Suite is THE BOMB!!! The colors, the DSP, the images, the TRIM ... I can't EVEN!!! I think it may be one of my favorite suites EVER EVER EVER!!! You NEEEEED this in your life!

Seeeee????? I roughed up the edges of each layer of DSP with the edge of my paper snips ... I love the "earthy" texture that is added by doing that!

Tomorrow I am running my second half marathon with the Huntsman Heroes (we raise money for cancer research) ... the Ogden Half! It's one of my faves as it is downhill and BEAUTIFUL!!

Control Freak Sketchin'!

We are getting sketchy with the Control Freaks this month!  Cindy Elam did an AMAZING job, as usual!! I pulled out some new stamps, paper, ribbon AND gems to play with ... so let's get started!

LOTS of pieces going on here ... I love a good sketch challenge!!

So. Much. Pink! I am so totally SMITTEN with the new Bubble Bath (core color) and Moody Mauve (2023-2025 In Color) shades of pink!! They are both sooooo good! The cupcake and flowers (along with the sentiment) are from a new set (available next month) called "Circle Sayings" ... such a good combo with the Online Exclusive 3D Embossing Folders, right???
