Monday Montage #121

Ya ever have those evenings when you are so wiped out that even your HAIR is complaining of being tired???? You, too??? I am having that kinda day. We just spent the past week driving over 1,200 miles (in each direction) from Salt Lake City, Utah to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the most EPIC EVER AirShow/Convention EVER!!! That also converts into 21 1/2 hours EACH WAY ... and I racked up over 176,000 steps on my Fitbit (NOT kidding!)! We just got home a couple of hours ago! Unpacked the car and the luggage ... threw dirty clothes in the washer ... then in the dryer ... and have been organizing things back to where they belong!! I DO have a card that I made earlier to share with you and this week's Hop with the Monday Montage girls ... and I am just now sitting down and typing everything up (it's after 10:00pm)!!

I was contacted by someone who read my blog and likes my style to make a very special 1st Birthday Card for her nephew. His name is Kingston, and his mom has his sweet little bedroom decorated with all sorts of zoo and jungle animals. What's better for a "King" than to be a LION, right??? So I created this little King of the Jungle (King of the WORLD??)for this little guy's first birthday!!

My hubby and I are going to be on the road again this next week! He has always had an obsession with airplanes. He spent TEN YEARS building his own airplane (and YES ... I am TOTALLY SERIOUS!!!). The BIGGEST, most INCREDIBLE airshow for aviators who build their own airplanes is held every year in Oshkosh, Wisconsin ... and he has been DYING to go for over 20 years!!! So NOW we are actually DOING IT!!! I'll tell y'all about it when we get back!!

Monday Montage #120

NEW stamps!!! Who DOESN'T love to play with NEW STAMPS??!?? I seriously want to take a week completely OFF from everything else in my life and just make pretty things!! Do you ever feel like that??? I know my Monday Montage friends feel the same way! Thanks for joining us this week!

APPLES!! I am a sucker for ANY "fruity" stamps ... and this three-step apple from "Picked for You" is A-MAZ-ING!!! I used the first stamp with some Poppy Parade ink; the second stamp was stamped with Cherry Cobbler; and the third stamp was inked up with some Daffodil Delight. I did a little off-stamping with the Poppy Parade and Cherry Cobbler after I was done ... and then I used my trusty aqua painter to blend the colors together a bit ... this is one of my new most FAVE sets!!

Stamps: Picked for You
Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Call Me Clover, Wood Textures DSP, Animal Expedition DSP, Vellum
Ink:  Early Espresso, Poppy Parade, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Thinlits, 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon, Lemon Builder Punch, Washi Label Punch (retired), Layering Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Summer Bouquet

It is getting SOOOO hot! Every. Dang. Day. Yesterday we got over 100 degrees Fahrenheit! I spent a good portion of Friday hanging out in my basement ... with a very large fan blowing some LESS-hot air on my whilst I decided to stamp in the cooler temps!

When I originally order the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, I thought I had ordered the "bundle" ... ya know how ya can ... because getting the stamps and the dies at the same times just makes sense, right??? And because not a SINGLE one of us has EVER forgotten to order the "bundle" together ... or has ordered something that we already own ... right??!??

Supplies: Beautiful Bouquet
Paper: Whisper White, Petal Pink, Crumb Cake, Tranquil Tide DSP
Ink:  Petal Pink, Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Basic Black
Accessories: , Stitched Labels Framelits Dies, Bouquet Bunch Framelits Dies, Linen Thread, Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

It's supposed to be even HOTTER today than it was yesterday ... oh JOY!!! Actually, I do love the summer weather. It makes it very hard to feel motivated to do anything besides stamp (or binge watch Netflix!) in our cooler basements! Hopefully I'll be able to get through my "to-do" list Hmmmmm ... perhaps a nap may happen at some point this weekend?? That sounds very sensible of me, don't you think??!??

Fab Friday #141

It's FRIYAY!!! HUZZAH!! Oh man, I love Fridays when I don't have to go in to work ... today is one such day! The Fab Friday Team has created some fantastic things to share!!

Ok ... can we TAWWWKK??!?? Eastern Beauty!! I am so very happy that it carried over into the NEW catalog!! I used the Stitched Shapes Thinlits to cut the outer edge of the medallion I used as the focal point on this ... it was a PERFECT fit!! I cheated a little by using the Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon to accent my Fresh Fig yardstick. I think it's close enough to the same color that it would be hard to tell the difference, don't you???

Stamps: Eastern Beauty
Paper: Fresh Fig, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Tranquil Tides DSP
Ink: Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide, Balmy Blue, Sea Foam Green
Accessories: Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies, Stitched Shapes Thinlits Dies, Trio Corner Punch, Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon

The Tranquil Textures DSP is FAST becoming a FAVE!! It goes with EVERYthing! This was a fun and easy sketch to follow ...

Summer is in FULL swing here in Utah!! And so is stamping!!! Who wants to come over and play??? So much pretty paper, stamps, and ink!! Bring it ON!!! The Monday Montage Girls sure are in full swing with some GORJUS creations!

We are coming up on one of my personal favorite holidays - 4th of July - Independence Day!!! So my card today is reflecting my patriotic vibes ... a little red (well, actually Luscious Lipstick), white and blue (aka Night of Navy). Stamps: Itty Bitty Greetings, Burlap Backgrounds
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Luscious Lipstick
Ink:  Night of Navy, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies, Classic Label Punch, Linen Thread, Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon
