"Mess Managed!"

It's another MDS-kinda day ... I will be the FIRST to admit that I was skeptical about "digital" paper crafting ... I was NOT AT ALL interested. Seriously ... I was NOT!! Didn't think it was worth my time ... at all ... so, of course, I purchased MDS (My Digital Studio) the minute it was available to me ... and I could not have been more HOOKED since that first week!! The BEST part??? As soon as I am "done" with whatever project I am working on, I just CLOSE MY LAPTOP and TA-DAAAA!! "Mess Managed!" (I'm having a "Harry Potter" flashback-kinda thing ... can't help myself!)

Since y'all KNOW how I am about all-thing-Disney ... here's a little two-page layout I did a while back of some fun my son, Devan, and I had when he came with me to Disneyland LAST January (it took me a LOT of coaxing to get him to leave Utah for ANY spell of time because of his school/work schedule ... and we weren't in the park for more than 15 MINUTES when he said, "I should have worked it out so I could stay LONGER!!" Yeah ... I KNEW he would say that!!)

And TRY as I MIGHT to get "blogger" to let me put these pix side by side in a big enough pic for you to actually SEE all the fun details, I couldn't get it to work ... which is why I'm giving you a "close up" of each page ... it's pretty neat how MDS will allow you to "overlap" two pages into a double layout spread with no overlap ... cool, eh?

MDS Ingredients -
Stamps -
Splatters (A Split Second)
Paper - Season by Season DSP, That's a Wrap DSP
Embellishments - Taffeta Trimmings Ripple (Garden Green), Zigzag Real Red
Punches - Flag Punch, Square Punch, Circle Punch
Fonts - LD Walt & Beach

Thanks for stopping by!!! Have a fabulous day!!

Sweet Baby Bunny

I BLINKED and the weekend was OVER!! How did THAT happen??? Wow ... it seems like they zip by more quickly every time!!!

BUT ... before I head out the door to get myself going on this Monday morning, I decided to make a little baby bunny card ... isn't this bunny just ADORBS???? Don't you just wanna squEEEEZE him???? I DO!! I used my blender pens (something I haven't pulled out in QUITE a while) and the ink that collects itself on the inside top lid of my ink pads to color him up a little bit ... but not too much!! I wanted to make him look all watercolor-y like the background ... cute, eh??

Stamps: Baby, We've Grown; Off the Grid
Paper: Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White
Ink: Early Espresso, Pistachio Pudding, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride, Soft Sky
Accessories: Large Oval Punch, Natural Chevron Ribbon, Pistachio Pudding Ruffled Trim, Gold Sequin Trim

So it's off to the races again!!! Happy Monday, y'all!!

Oh My Hex!!

I have been "DYING" to use this Hexagon Hive Framelits Die from the day I got it!! Sometimes things just get away from ya and you just can't get to ALL the things you wanna do ... I redesigned this card in my head about 50 times ... all in all, I'm really happy with how it turned out!!

I ended up cutting the framelit out about 4 times in order to get all the "bits" that I NEEDED to make this. (The GOOD news is that I have enough "bits" to make other versions of this card if I want to ...) The Fresh Prints Designer Paper is SO great!! This is a fun color combo ...

I used this as my sample for today's challenge over on Splitcoaststampers as well ... and I called the challenge "Oh My Hex!" And really, that's only TRULY funny if you happen to from/live in Utah. OhMyHeck is a Utah swear word. So this is just kinda making me giggle. Can't help myself!!

And it's FRIDAY!! HooRAY for the weekend!!

Stamps:  Perfect Pennants
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Fresh Prints DSP
Ink:  Real Red
Accessories: Banners Framelits Dies, Hexagon Hive Framelits Die, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Retro Fresh This & That Designer Washi Tape, Gold Sequin Trim

Although the weather was a bit too blustery for these two to "fly away" at the end of their reception last night, a good time was had by all!! (And YES, they DID get me to do the "Boot Scootin' Boogie!) So very happy for these two and the adventure called life that they have chosen to share with one another!!

That is all ... have a great weekend!!

Wedding Bells

Today we are celebrating the marriage of some of our good "flying" buddies. Over the past 10+ years, we have gotten to know some of the most a-MAZ-ing people through our association with the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Owners Association). They have become like part of our family. AND ... believe it or NOT ... my husband actually talks as MUCH as or MORE than I do when we get together with these people!! (For those of you who know ME well ... or ESPECIALLY if you know my husband ... this is saying SOMETHING!!).

Sooo .... BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Jeff and Amanda!! I felt myself getting a little carried away on this one ... I kept adding and adding and adding little bits of stuff ... I likey!!

Really looking forward to celebrating with everyone later this evening. Food, music, a PINATA (oh JOY!!) ... and, weather permitting, Jeff and Amanda are literally gonna "fly off into the sunset!" How COOL is THAT???

Monday Montage #12

Welcome to another Monday Montage!! Each and every single time I am totally awestruck at what my friends come up with for this ... and this week is no exception!!

I REALLY wanted to make some sorta artsy, springy sorta thing. But then I realized that it is my little grand niece's 2nd birthday this week, so I knew I was going to have to come up with something to put a smile on HER face!! She is a FANATIC about Curious George ... and while I realize this monkey is NOT George, I think she will like him all the same (and it gave me yet ANOTHER excuse to play with my Silhouette and some of my favorite old images in MDS!)!

Stamps: Tape It, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Melon Mambo, Early Espresso, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink: Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: eCutter (Silhouette), Paper Piercing Essentials Mat Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Banner Punch, Linen Thread, Candy Dots (Brights)
MDS: Nursery Alphabet Images (Monkey), Piece of Cake (Balloons), Family Fun Photobook (Happy)

This card looked MUCH different in my head. Isn't is funny how that works??? You visualize something else entirely, yet you can't seem to unlock it from your brain??? I still like it, though ... and I know it will make Sammy happy, too!
