Monday Montage - Elegant Leaves

It’s Monday … and NOVEMBER … and it’s time for another hop with the Monday Montage Crew!

As I have been watching The Gilmore Girls for the first time (how on EARTH did I miss this back in the day??), I decided to start an episode as I was cutting out a BUNCH of leaves from the Elegant Leaves Dies. And I mean A BUNCH! Eight different colors with three sets of three dies! That 192 leaves … and you will be seeing OTHER creations made from this stash in the coming week!

After cutting all the leaves I then used my Blending Brushes to add a little more color/texture to each leaf with its coordinating ink. How pretty! I had so many that I was tempted to pile them all up and jump in!!

The Flourish & Frames Hot Foil Dies are gorgeous!! I
also used the Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing
Folder to add even more depth to the center piece behind the sentiment. I don’t wanna even tell you how many episodes of The Gilmore Girls I finished whilst doing this, but suffice it to say that it was more than one!!

Stamps: Elegant Leaves
Paper: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Darling Duckling, Golden Glow, Pumpkin Pie, Timid Tiger, Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze
Ink: Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Darling Duckling, Golden Glow, Pumpkin Pie, Timid Tiger, Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze
Accessories:  Elegant Leaves Dies, Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing Folder, Flourish & Frames Hot Foil Dies, Mosaic Adhesive-Backed Dots, Linen Thread, Gold Foil

Fall has long been my most favorite time of year … this card clinches that! I can almost smell the leaves!!

Our Monday Montage Hop has gone exclusively to Instagram! You can check it out by finding me @tinkermom85. From there you will be able to find all of my Monday Montage Friends, too!

TGIF Challenge #597 - Color Challenge

I saw this color combo for this week’s TGIF Challenge #597 and thought, “But I don’t have any new Halloween stuff!” So then I had to get creative!

Check out the blog challenge here - TGIF Challenge Blog if you’d like to play along.

Since I have been LOVING the new Hot Foil System I decided to work with it some more!

I created the background wreath using stamps from Wreath & Wonder and the three colors in our challenge.

I’m still on the fence about whether or not I should have used my blending brush and some Pumpkin Pie ink to dull down the brightness of the white, but all in all I think I like the outcome!

I stacked two of the gold foiled wreaths on top of one another … one on Basic White and the other on Granny Apple Green. I think I’m gonna try to do a fuller wreath with many multiples of the gold die … wouldn’t that be fun??

Stamps: Wreath & Wonder, Elegant Leaves
Paper: Basic White, Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green
Accessories: Wreath & Wonder Foil Dies, Buffalo Check Foil Die, Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems, Neutrals Jute Combo Pack, Gold Foil

My house is already all decorated for Halloween … I DID end up doing it last weekend and love feeling ahead of the game for once!

We’d love to have you play along!! You can check us out our blog HERE and Instagram … lots of great inspiration from the rest of the TGIF Crew!

Hot Foil??? YEESSSSS PLEASE!!!

Did y’all know that Stampin’ Up came out with a Hot Foil System a few months back???

I did … and chose to “ignore” it … I did NOT need it … I did NOT want it … I was NOT gonna buy it … at all … ever …

Yeah, yeah, yeah … you know how THAT goes!

I received all my new goodies last weekend and I AM OBSESSED!!!

It was so much quicker and easier than I had anticipated it to be … and making his card was WAAAYYYY fun!

I knew I wanted a multicolored fall wreath. Choosing which colors to use was the hard part.

I did a bunch of fussy cutting on this one (which I actually enjoy and find very therapeutic). But the wreath itself was included in the dies I had purchased, as was the Buffalo Check Background (which I LOVELOVELOVE1).

I used the Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder as it seemed the perfect addition … and there IS a hot foil die included with the Wreath & Wonder Bundle that is a bunch of splatter that I didn’t realized I needed to use until AFTER I had already embossed the background. SO … I just pulled out a gold glitter pen and made my own splatters. Lesson learned for next time!

Stamps: Wreath & Wonder, Phrases & Frames
Paper: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Misty Moonlight, Blackberry Bliss, Gold Foil
Ink: Crumb Cake, Versamark
Accessories: Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder, Wreath & Wonder Hot Foil Dies, White Embossing Powder, Linen Thread, Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems (retired)

There are a LOT of hot foil die bundles that I see making their way into my collection before too long … sigh … another addiction, I suppose!
