Dear Dad . . .

I woke up this morning and the weather reflected exactly how I felt . . . dark, gray, with a sky full of tears.

As I look out the window now, the sun is peeking through patches of blue sky . . . reminding me that no matter how sad I feel without you today, the sun WILL shine, the birds WILL sing and we WILL be together again.

I love and miss you.

Happy Father's Day

Your loving daughter,

Wendy :)

This is an absolutely beautiful card and a great tribute to him. The first Father's Day without Dad is really hard. I am thinking of you and your family and praying for your comfort.

Oh sweetie, I imagine all of our Dads in heaven sending love to their children left here until that glorious day when we are all reunited.

I wish I could tell you it gets easier, but I'm still waiting for that day, and it's been 10 years for me.

Hugs!

Wendy: I feel for you today and want you to know that it doesn't get easier necessarily but the memories become sweeter. Be thankful that you were so blessed to have a dad that you loved who loved you back. I hope the rest of the day is full of only good memories! - Mary R

You aren't alone in your thoughts. I, too, know I will be with my father again. Days like today are usually filled with precious memories, a tinge of sadness and joy in looking forward to the day we are reunited. May you be blessed with a special 'rainbow' of your father's love today.

It really does get better, Wendy. It just takes time. I have lost both of my parents and it has never been acceptable to me that they are gone but I have learned to live with it. I will always miss them. You are in my thoughts.
