Parade of UnAward Winning Projects - Day 1

Okay, well ... the title for the post (and for subsequent ones where I post the things that I created as part of my entry for this year's Stampin' Up Artisan Award contest) is a true expression of how I feel ... like an Un-Artisan - or at least that's how it is in the eyes of the judges at Stampin Up! ... I like to think that perhaps I was #11 or #12 on SU's list of winners (and since they only pick TEN winners, that makes me NEARLY an Artisan, right???) Hehehehe ... I am just gonna live in that happy bubble, okay? (Even if I WAS #217!)

Here is card #1 ... I decided to show this one first 'cause I actually felt guilty about submitting it ... WHY?? you ask ... 'cause it only took me, like, 15 minutes to create it. I somehow thought that taking so short of a time-frame to create something for a contest of this caliber was a big, FAT NO-NO!! Smiley from millan.net But I loved how it came out so much that I KNEW I was gonna submit it!! So, there ya have it!! (I actually had this baby all planned out in my head, and it just sorta fell out the tips of my fingers!!)

Since my BFF, JanTink, ALSO is NEARLY ARTISAN like me (actually, that is UNTRUE - she is a jeenyus! But, unbelievably, she wasn't picked, either!), we decided to play a little round of ping pong with this sharing project ... so why not BOUNCE on over to her blog (click back where I typed her name) and see what SHE created for this contest as well??? (You KNOW you WANNA!)

Come on back tomorrow and see project #2, 'kay?

Stamps: Wedding Sweet
Paper: Whisper White, Going Gray

Beautiful work Wendy!

I have been annoyed so many times now, I have no disparaging comments left for the judges at SU!

Well I love it!!! And I just want to march up to wherever you live and give you a good cussin' out!!! You are not an "unwinner" in anyone's eyes! You've got so much stinkin talent it just lights all around you.
i could go on.....but...well, I think I'll just save some of it for later. LOVE, LOVE your creations!!
Very few people can just think up amazing things like you can. So pull yourself up by your big-girl panties and get creating!!

Wendy...this is gorgeous...and we ALL know that the PTB at SU have made questionable decisions over the years...this year that just didn't want to have to pick between you and Jan..yeah, that's it... :-) Trish

This is totally gorgeous. Again, shaking my head and wondering what kinds of things were the "winning projects" if these are the Unwinning ones???

Well, I didn't see a single card I liked better than Yours! Someone must have been asleep that day! You would have had my vote!

This is a beautiful card. It's simpleness adds to the beauty IMHO.
